We all deal with loss in different ways. Even so, losing a loved one will undoubtedly alter your perspective on life.
However, we know from our clients that their partner would have wanted them to look to the future.
Making the right financial decisions can feel impossible and lonely, especially if it was not previously your area of expertise.
As a result, when the time is right and at your pace, we'll empathetically assist you in piecing together your financial life and beginning a forward-thinking process. The first half of our job is to help you make sense of your financial situation; the second half is to help you find the new you and a renewed sense of purpose.
As financial planners, we are committed to discovering what you want from the rest of your life; your hopes and objectives, the experiences and excitement that are yet to come.
We can turn our attention to your money and develop a solid plan for the years ahead once we know what you want your future to look like.
Here’s What We’ll Do:
Step 1
Our first meeting will focus on your life, not your finances.
First and foremost, we will listen carefully and address your initial concerns. There are no silly questions; you have complete freedom to ask whatever you want. We'll give you the reassurance you need; your financial situation is probably better than you think.
Even in this difficult time, we will assist you in discovering a new sense of purpose. We want to learn about you and your goals. What do you think the future holds? What do you want to do with the rest of your life? What is most important to you? We discuss topics other than money and strive to make our meetings enjoyable, enriching, and interesting. It's all about you, not about us.
Step 2
Once we get to know you, we're then able to better understand your money.
We'll start by preparing a detailed picture of your financial situation. We'll gather information about your existing pensions, savings, and investments, as well as also work with probate, solicitors, and insurance companies. Most of us despise paperwork, so with your permission, we'll contact the companies involved to obtain the necessary information.
Then, using cutting-edge financial planning technology, we'll create scenarios and track investments to show you the various paths to achieving your goals. We'll then make recommendations and do the necessary work to get you on the right track.
Step 3
We believe that the key to successful financial planning is a long-term, ongoing relationship.
We'll review your plan on a regular basis to ensure you're on track to meet your goals. Only one thing is certain in life: change. If your needs, preferences, or aspirations change, our ongoing relationship allows for a detailed review at least once a year to ensure your financial plan is working to achieve the best results for you.
The first step in developing a trustworthy relationship is to ask the right questions when you first meet with a financial adviser.
Our goal is to assist you in finding someone who will treat you and your family with respect, integrity, and competence.
